Tasting Time

After a week of training, we set out bright and early today to sample wines from four vineyards. We started out at one of our favorites and the only winery we visit every time we come, Etude in the Carneros Region of Napa. They have great Pinot Noirs and after a few glasses, we decided to renew our membership. After Etude we took in a quick lunch at Napkins Bar and Grill in Downtown Napa before heading to Yountville again for a new wine to us called Goosecross. This was another successful tasting resulting in a small membership to void the tasting costs. This is just good budgeting right? Still heading North, our next stop was Groth in Oakville where we had a really nice Cab and a Sauv Blanc that Myra really got into. We managed to dodge a membership before heading to St Helena for our final tasting at Rombauer. Thanks to Bob and Joani, we were able to get a tasting despite being sold out all week. Rombauer is known for its Chardonnay which is quite good but we also liked their Sauvignon Blanc and Zin so…….another membership was in the cards. After a day of drinking some fantastic wines and a quick breath test, we headed to In and Out Burger to top off a great day.
