Leg 5 to Chula Vista

Chula Vista RV Resort was the destination for todays leg of the trip. It was not fun cutting through the mountains on I-8 but then was not as bad as I had been led to believe. At least not Westbound. Chula Vista Resort is one of the nicest and cleanest RV parks of the ones we have visited. It is a bit on the $$$ side but what else is new in Cali. There is a nearby Marina with a small restaurant called the Galley at the Marina where we had lunch and then dinner because we didn’t feel like tackling the traffic and it was within walking distance. Food was decent with nods to the clams and mussels.

RV Park Review: Not much wrong with this park. Its in a prime location next to a marina, is well manicured and cared for, has all the bells and whistles but comes at a welcome to California price. Our total for 2 nights was 307.75 so there are some hefty resort fees and taxes to go with your stay. There is a park and walkway between the resort and the bay which can get noisy if people play their music loud so if this is a concern, pick a site closer inland. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome. This park may now be closed permanently.
