Leg 17 to Ruidoso, NM-The Last Camp

Today we travelled the short 71 miles to our last stop of this trip for a week in Ruidosa, NM. Plans on the books include a trip to White Sands National Park near Alamogordo and then meeting up with friends in the latter part of the week to celebrate the nuptials of Brian and Deborah and visit the pony races.

Weather is more accommodating with temperatures in the mid to high 80s anticipated (not including the trip to 103 White Sands. This RV site is the “coziest” of all the parks this trip. Barely enough room to put out the awning before hitting your neighbor. Very friendly staff here. Even received a Jello Shot upon our arrival. Thats a new one.

After setup, we went for a quick lunch at Tina’s Cafe and plan to spend the rest of the day at camp. Myra is fighting off a migraine so R&R is on the books for the rest of the day. Looking forward to a fun week.
