Leg 14 to Greenbrae, CA

After a great week in Napa, we drove the short route to Greenbrae near Larkspur across from San Francisco to the Northwest. This park is the smallest lot size of any of the parks thus far and probably in the future. We got lucky in that it hasn’t quite filled up yet and so were able to maneuver into place after only a few attempts. The appeal of this park is not the park but the proximity to San Francisco. The ferry terminal is about a 10 minute walk which will take you directly to the Embarcado in SF. (The plan for later this week.) Today is settling in and the usual reconnoiter of the area.

RV Park Review: Marin is an RV parking lot and not much more. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the sites have basic services but that’s about all. The appeal to this park is its proximity to the Ferry and San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods and Sausalito. Spaces are no wider than an RV parking space. We had enough room for the slide outs but not the awning but there was really no reason to setup as you would in a normal campground since there is no appeal to sitting out. We were able to park our towed in front of our 32′ MH but it was very close. There is a pretty long dog walk area that leads into a nature preserve along the bay but that is the only attractive view in this area. We used their laundry facilities and they were acceptable.
