Leg 12 to Vacaville, CA

After 3 days in the Yosemite area, we trudged back down the snaky roads bound for Vineyard RV Park in Vacaville, CA. We will spend a week here before heading just a little closer to the Napa Valley area. We have some housekeeping chores to do and a trip to Sacramento is also in the cards. When I was a wee lad, we lived in McClelland AFB area before they shut her down. I would like to go by and see the old house and stomping grounds. The site we are at is in a big park. Not much to look at but clean; however, the 97 degree temperature may be clouding my judgement a bit. I think its in the 70s in San Angelo.

RV Park Review: This park has a newer and older section and is quite large. Lots of seasonal workers and semi permanent residence. The park is paved for the main roads but the roads to the sites in the older section are rocky gravel and not good for pets. No grass to speak of in the older section. They do have a large dog run that is shaded. We were near the pool which can be a bit noisy during the day. Although the rules prohibit it, there were a lot of sites with toys, bbq and other items stuffed under trailers and laying in lots. Some of the permanent on site residence, I assume employees, did not control their barking dogs very well. We stayed for a week and would return but we would be a bit more picky about the site number. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Motorhome.
