Well we’re finally off on leg 1 of our Heartland Trip Part 1 with a quick one nighter in Roswell, NM. We navigated our freshly washed and waxed land ship through first a thunderstorm then a dust storm in the plains and arrived in Roswell like we had been to an RV mud spa. Topping that off, the bedroom slide got stuck at the top and would not extend. What is this going to cost me and can I find someone kept running through my head but finally with a with a little muscle, we got her unjammed and finished setting up and getting organized. Arby’s was what’s for dinner followed by a quick stop at Target to pickup the items we forgot. Not a great leg 1 but we hope it will improve as we head to Sante Fe in the morn.
