Today we went to the Foster Botanical Gardens in Honolulu in the morning. I was expecting a more floral experience but it seems Oahu is experiencing a lack of rain here as well as many of the plants looked drier than normal. Following lunch at the well known Hawaiian eater Zippys, we spend the afternoon at the beach watching surfers with our friendly Monk Seal neighbor. The five o’clock happy hour bell rang so we tried some Mai tais at the Hua Tree before heading out to dinner. For a change of pace we at a a small out of the way Sushi place (Inabas) that was very good and affordable all this considered. We had an early rise to see the Pearl Harbor area so we sacked out early.
