Today we made our second trip into Big Bend NP except this time we entered from the West Entrance. We left at around 8:00am and hit the Ross Maxwell Scenic drive that took us all the way to the Rio Grande at the Santa Elena Canyon. Took a few pictures along the way and had a lunch at Santa Elena after a very short hike. On the way back we hit the Chisos Basin for a quick pitstop and to pay our entry fee before heading back to the homestead as the temperatures were getting uncomfortable.
