A Day that will Live in Memory

Today we spent the day at the Pacific War Museum and took in the several attractions offered there. First stop was the USS Arizona Memorial. I was fortunate to get a reservation and so we sailed out there about 9:00am. I must say I was slightly disappointed in the experience. To me a solemn cemetery dictates putting on something other than sandals and a wife beater T but there it was. The quietness was broken by the ranger yelling out information about some nurse that won the Purple Heart and then scolded people for being too loud. They need to figure another way. Included in the package was a tour of the USS Bowfin submarine and USS Missouri battleship as well as the submarine and Pacific aviation museum. We wrapped up after about 6 hours and headed back to the hotel to rest up for tonights dinner at Roy’s Waikiki.
