Today we re-explored the Rocky Mountain NP getting up at 5:00am with the intent of arriving at Bear Lake at our reservation time of 6:00am. We saw a ton of wildlife (figuratively and comparatively) on the way there. Although it was pretty dark still, I did manage to capture a couple of shots I was happy with. We were able to see Elk everywhere, Moose, Sheep, White Tails, Chipmunks, and Humans.
We made it to Bear Lake about 6:30 and spent some time there and Sprague Lake before checking out the town of Estes, CO and incorporating some Starbucks and breakfast. The return trip was not as photo rich as the trip out so we were back at the RV in time for a noon nap.
Tonight we camp cook; tomorrow we dine out at Grand Lake. Most of the photos shot today will be in the Stucasa Gallery https://stucasa.net/gallery/ under National Parks and Nature so as not to be too redundant.
