After nine great days in Malibu, today we set off for Morro Bay and the Morro Dune RV Resort. We tried to do all HWY 1 but that turned out not to be such a great idea. Parts of the PCH were down to one lane and we got tied up for about 1/2 trying to get through it. Our 190 mile trip took us about 4:45 hours. Although the RV site does not have anywhere near the views of Malibu, it promises to be a great location. We walked to the nearby Harbor and they have plenty of places to eat and some shops. We will try and reconnoiter more in the coming days.
RV Park Review: If our looking for a park near Morro bay and the beach, this would be the one. I will say I did not particularly care much for the asthethics of the park. Not much “curb appeal” and the lots and near the beach fence were in a weird oval layout that I didn’t care for. Although it was relatively clean, it did not feel clean due to all the construction in the area and businesses nearby. The park has easy beach access and a path that will take you to the Embarcadero. Laundry facilities were small but they had several on site. Good hub to visit the area. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.
