Today we headed to Marathon, TX about 90 miles North Terlingua.  We are only here for one night as there is just not to that much to do.  This town is featured two movies, Paris, TX and Fandango. Myra’s father grew up in Marathon as well as generations before him so she wanted to visit the cemetery where her some of her family are buried,  a local church and a favorite park she went to as a kid.  We got all accomplished by 2:30 then chilled the rest of the day.  The blog picture is of Myra’s Great Grandparents home which has been converted to an Air B&B or rather 3 Air B&Bs.  Marathon also has a semi famous hotel called the Gage hotel built in 1927 and a National Registry of Historic Places. Tonight we plan to have dinner there.  Tomorrow we head to Alpine..
