Moving out the of the Ritz, we head today to Terlingua for our next stop. Maverick’s in Lajitas was nice and I would recommend except for their feature restaurant which was quite underwhelming. I apparently found an old menu on their site, probably pre-covid, and their new menu was a streak forward disaster. Better food at K-Bobs I would think but the service was good. Re-drove the River Road for some pictures so that is done. Sunday was over 100 degrees so we opted to stay around camp and watch movies the last day. Our site is outside of Terlingua and the closest to the West entrance of Big Bend which will be our focus the next couple of days. Still looking for some decent night skies. This trip was the shortest in our travels so far, only 18 miles from our previous location but the new place cut down on the Big Bend round trip time. Picture is from the Terlingua Cemetary where Myra’s Great Great Grandfather is buried. Grave looks like it was built to stand the test of time.
