After nearly a month in Seattle, minus the Texas trip, we said goodbye to the Pacific Coast and headed East. Our first stopover is actually in Monitor, WA just outside of Wenachee. We are at the Wenachee River County Park for just the one night before heading on to Idaho. This park is a very nice, gated park right next to the Wenatchee River and is a bargain at only $38 night. One of the downsides is we are again next to some railroad tracks. Hopefully the trains will decrease overnight. My Cousin Vinny may be on the watch list tonight. Wenachee is right after the Cascade Mountains and is a lower elevation area of the trip. Didn’t really have anything on the books here so we will probably just enjoy the park and catch up on some reading.
