After a mostly great holiday weekend in Newport, OR we started our trip inland to Tualatin, OR just South of Portland. We are in another one of those “cozy” get to know your neighbor spots but it should not be a big deal as we have several plans for the area. This area is know for some good Pinots so we plan on visiting a winery or two, Myra has a conference in Portland on Saturday for her Delta Kappa Gamma group and Im sure a few photo ops will present themselves.

One nice thing about Oregon is there no sales tax so that has been nice. Also, all the gas stations have attendants. Why did I not know this? I nearly got ugly with an attendant because I thought I accidentally stopped in full service like I did in California (that gas cost me $5.50 a gallon) so I was not having a repeat of that. He said, “your in Oregon man, it’s all full service”. Another Texas driver behind be did the same thing so I dont feel too bad.
