Shorty before noon today we headed out for another short leg to get back on the PCH and into some cooler weather. We arrived at Bodega Bay about 1:00pm. This site seems enormous after the matchbox size lot at Marin Bay. After a nap and quick walk, we went back to a little oyster shack we saw along the way. I dont know what happened to skyrocket the price of oysters but they are ridiculously overpriced everywhere in California. 3-4$ each is the norm. The place we stopped was no different at 36$ a dozen. However, if you shucked your own, it was 1/2 the price so…..froggy went a shucking’. They were very bueno. What happened to the days of .25 cent oysters specials. I guess the same thing that happened to the 2,3, + for one drinks at happy hour.
RV Park Review: This park has everything you need for a nice stay along the PCH. For the location, I don’t think the price is out of line. The park is on a slight decline in a forested area along HWY 1. The park is clean and well kept, has two nice dog runs although they are gravel, and there is a decent coffee shop on site. Our site had a small fence dividing the lots from our neighbors and had sufficient room. The staff is friendly and kept the park clean. There were a couple of nice walking paths emanating from the park that you can get near the beach. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
