One of my favorite parks that left an impression on me as a child. We left out pretty early today to avoid the crowds and boy was that a great idea. We got to the gates about 8:15 in the morning to no lines and headed straight to the valley. After hiking about 6 miles and picnic we had our fill of the park and headed back to the camp. As we were leaving, the lines were horrific. And this is on a limited reservation only experience. We saw what we came to see and will leave the Memorial Day crowds alone.
